Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
This policy explains what Morse Code Translator Pro collects, what it does not, and why the Morse code translator itself never sends your messages anywhere. Using the site means you accept the practices described below.
The Short Version
Everything you type into the translator stays on your device. Messages are never transmitted to us, never stored and never analysed. Encoding, decoding, audio, the beacon and the chart all run in your browser using JavaScript that has already been downloaded, which is also why the tool keeps working with the network switched off.
What We Never Collect
None of the following is gathered, at any point:
- The text or Morse code you enter into the translator.
- Accounts or passwords, because there is no sign-up.
- Advertising or cross-site tracking identifiers.
- Payment details, financial data or government identification.
- Biometric data, precise location or contact lists.
What Is Processed Automatically
Like most websites, our host records ordinary technical data for security and reliability. It is not linked to you as a person:
- IP address, browser type and operating system.
- The page requested and the time of the request.
- The referring site, where your browser sends one.
How That Information Is Used
Only to keep the site working and safe: diagnosing faults, blocking abuse, and understanding which guides get read so we know what to improve. It is never sold, rented or used for advertising, and never fed to a machine-learning model.
Cookies and Local Storage
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. Interface preferences such as playback speed, tone and colour theme are kept in your browser's local storage so the tool opens the way you left it. That data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Third-Party Services
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving them. If you send us a message, the contact form is delivered through our form provider so that we can reply. These are the only third parties involved, and neither receives anything you typed into the translator.
The Contact Form
The name, email address and message you provide are used to answer you and for nothing else. They are not added to a mailing list, not sold and not shared. Correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for handling your enquiry, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. See the contact page for how messages are handled.
How We Protect Data
The site is served over HTTPS from a hosting environment with routine monitoring, and it holds no personal database to breach in the first place. No system is perfectly secure, so we reduce risk mainly by collecting as little as possible.
Children's Privacy
The site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has contacted us, write to us and we will delete the correspondence.
Your Rights
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or similar legislation applies, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold, to object to processing, and to opt out of analytics. Because we hold almost nothing, in practice this is limited to contact-form correspondence.
External Links
We link to standards bodies, radio societies and reference works. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them. Read their policies before interacting with those sites. Our terms of service cover the rest of your use of this website.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect site improvements or legal changes. The last updated date above always reflects the current version, and continued use of the site indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
